ブロンクス動物園にお得に行く方法☆How to save money at Bronx zoo
行き方地下鉄2番または5番でwest farms sq E tremont Av またはE180st 駅下車
5番の急行だとE180st駅しか止まらない時間がありますが、急行だと、ブロンクスエリアを結構すっ飛ばして行くので、電車で怖い人(物乞いの人とか)に巡り合う可能性が少ないような気がします。旅慣れてなくて不安な方は急行の方がおススメです。
…と言ってもニューヨークの治安はかなり改善されてるので、そこまで気にすることはないかなと思います😋
下車してからの道のりは…
west farms sq E tremont Av駅で降りると、ただまっすぐ(徒歩5分くらいかな…)進むだけで動物園に着きます。
E180st駅だとzoo方面の看板がでているので、一箇所角を曲がりますが、道に迷うことはないです。こちらは10分程度木陰を歩いていく感じです。(途中で上の写真のwest farms sq E tremont Av駅を通ります。)
入場料大人 ＄39.95(60歳以上＄34.95)
子供 ＄29.95(3歳以下無料)
ただし、オンラインで買うと10%オフ(たまに20%オフ❣️)なので、オンラインで買っていった方が良いです。
※ホームページに載ってるCODEを入れればディスカウント価格で購入できます🤩
また、オンラインで買った場合は、入口で(チケット売り場ではないです。)紙で印刷したバーコード、または携帯のバーコード画面を見せれば大丈夫です。混んでいる時もチケット購入さえしてあればスムーズに入れるので便利(特に7,8月の夏休みシーズン)です。
そして、忘れちゃいけないのは毎週水曜日のドネーションデー❣️チケット売り場が混んではいますが、物価の高いニューヨークで無料はありがたいということで、我が家はいつも水曜日のドネーションデーに行っています😅この日は誰でも無料で入れますが、なんもなく私はいつもドネーションチケットプリーズと言って＄１は払っています(笑)
ただし、ドネーションチケットの場合、入場料の他にモノレールや子供動物園の料金、ゴリラ園の観覧料、アスレチック料金が別途かかる(どちらも1人＄6。全部まとめて＄17のチケットもあります。いずれもチケット売り場では無く、園内の各アトラクションのチケットブースで購入できます。)ので、ご注意ください…。
子供動物園は、餌を買ってヤギやロバに餌をあげられます。が、正直日本とあまり変わらないので(笑)お金を払ってまで入る必要があるかは微妙です。(←ケチ)
アジアンエリアのモノレールや入口付近のシャトルバス(夏休み7-8月水曜日は混雑のため運休)は、お金はかかりますが園内広くて疲れるので、乗っちゃうと楽だと思います◎
その他、在住者限定ですが、大人はIDNYC membershipカードで1年間入場料が無料になります。他の動物園でも使えるこのカードですか、発行はブロンクスズーでしか作れません。なので、IDNYC をゲットしたら一番最初にブロンクスズーに行き、カードをゲットする必要があります。
発行するときは、窓口でI’d like to create my IDNYC membership card.といえば大丈夫です。それを言うのも難しい方は、IDNYCのカードを見せてmembership card please.と言えば通じると思います。
さて、動物園の中はと言うと、結構広い❣️
全部回ろうとすると足が痛くなるのですが、どこもジャングルを回っているようで見がいがあります。動物達も広いせいか日本の動物園より元気な気がします。
入口入ってすぐはラクダライドです。乗って柵の中を一周するだけですが、夏休みは混んでいます。
ライオンの吠える声を初めて聞きました◎日本だと大抵ずっと寝てるんだもん(笑)
暑さにやられたのか、グデーって寝ていて本当に可愛かった♡
こんな感じにたくさん動物がいますし、孔雀なんて普通に道を横切って歩いています。
…園内はこんな感じにたくさん動物がいて広いので、もしお目当ての動物がいたり、時間に制約があるならちゃんと場所を確認してから行った方が良いと思います。
というのも、ぐるぐる適当に回っていたのもあり、5歳のベビは疲れ果てて帰りの電車で爆睡でした😪
なので、ルートはある程度考えて(普通そうするか笑)回れば良かったなーと反省しました😱
